Season 1

Aspiring actor Jamie King works at his family's L.A. hotel, which is in dire straits because of his uncle's gambling debts.

Jamie tries to impress Fancy, by volunteering as a "Big Homie" for a neighborhood youth.

When an old flame shows up at the hotel, Jamie thinks it's time to rekindle romance--then her boyfriend arrives.

Jamie takes Braxton to his favorite club to show him some action, but it's "B Smooth" who impresses the ladies.

Jamie plans to get rich by selling Aunt Helen's sweet-potato pie, which has Dennis and hotel customers hooked. But he may be making a mistake by cutting too many people a slice of the business.

Braxton's induction into the Burgeoning Black Men's Club coincides with a visit from his unrefined parents.

A Halloween-party kiss between a costumed Jamie and Fancy unmasks hidden desires, which lead each to fantasize about the other at work.

A reunion of Junior's old Army buddies includes a lawyer, who lands Jamie an audition--and makes a play for Helen.

Jamie's dreams of stardom may come true with the arrival of director Ike Yee, who uses the hotel as the setting for his latest movie starring Jackie Chin.

Jamie thinks a hotel guest is a fugitive killer--who's eyeing Fancy as his next victim.

Jamie's childhood friend, a pro-football star cut by his team on Thanksgiving Day, threatens to jump from a window ledge.

Jamie's jealous when Fancy's smooth ex sweeps into the hotel flashing plenty of cash--and a diamond ring.

After her wild bachelorette party, Fancy's sorority sister Janine wakes up next to the stripper--Jamie.

Jamie is much too fast to buy a little red Corvette off the street, and when the car turns out to be hot he and Braxton land in jail with prisoners planning to tunnel to freedom.

Edwina DuBois, a gal pal of Helen's, tries to show Jamie the ways of the casting couch, while teaching an acting seminar at the hotel.

Jamie tries to maintain control after the Westside Connection checks in with a huge entourage and a wad of cash.

Jamie's offered a job as spokesman for a hamburger joint right after agreeing to become a vegetarian, in order to impress Fancy.

A chance to sing on the radio lands Jamie a contract with record mogul Sweet and Low, but the deal comes up a little short.

When Jamie and Braxton are held captive in a bank robbery gone awry, Fancy's boyfriend, a hostage negotiator, must plead for their release.

A hotel guest scams a free room after claiming to have fallen on a wet lobby floor--and the Kings land in court.

Jamie's mother arrives for a visit just as her "Boompsy" is planning a benefit for Nelson's shelter. But the reunion turns sour when mom must choose between her career and her son.
